About B&B Jardín de los Monos

We stayed for 6 nights at Jardin de Los Monos. What a beautiful, spotless and so well run B&B, it felt more like a boutique hotel. Gorgeous pool with very comfy sun-beds and Lettika and her team made us feel so welcome. A delicious homemade breakfast with plenty of choice was included in the price. We had the upstairs room with the covered outside terrace which meant we could sit and watch the canopy and saw amazing birds and wildlife including monkeys and sloths.
Matapalo beach which is just a couple of minutes walk away is like a little slice of paradise, one of the nicest beaches I’ve seen. It was brilliant to see scarlet Macaws flying around in the palm trees on the edge of the beach. There are a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance and plenty to see and do nearby.
We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave!

Absolutely perfect accommodation. Beautifully furnished rooms, large bed with comfortable mattress and beautiful bedding. Very spacious bathroom, towels available in the bathroom and at the pool. Perfectly maintained property. Thought of every detail for comfortable guests. Location in the garden and very close to the beautiful endless beach. Many thanks to the owner for the great service – breakfast, homemade bread, fruit, help with restaurant reservations. Highly recommended.

We stayed three nights at this BNB, and it was the most pleasant stay we had while in Costa Rica. The location was wonderful, down a dead-end road and approximately 150 meters from the beach. Upon arrival, we were met by the Hostess/Owner Lettika who was professional and very guest oriented. Lettika gave us a very nice tour of the facility and promptly pointed out two sloths up in the trees. Lettika gave us a nice history of the location and had valuable suggestions regarding recreational activities and eating establishments within driving distance.

We stayed in a second-floor room with a very nice balcony and air conditioning which was most valuable because the temperature outside was in the 90s during the day. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and quiet. The only sounds you could hear were the birds and the breaking waves from the beach.

The property was beautifully planned with easy access to everything needed. There was very nice pool and sunning area to enjoy. Breakfast was served every morning. Each guest had a choice of three breakfasts to choose from and the meals were a highlight. The breakfast area was comfortable and made conversing with other guests enjoyable.

This was a most enjoyable stay, and we highly recommend it. We will return

Fantastic stay at Jardin de los Monos! Surrounded by beautiful nature, sloths chilling in the trees, monkeys crossing the property, lots of birds… Spacious rooms, great air conditioning, beautiful pool and very fast internet. Very tasty breakfast, served by staff or boss Lettika. She is the soul of this house, always very kind and helpful. A kilometer-long beach is 100 meters away. About 1 kilometer away there is a good restaurant “A Kachete” and a great restaurant “Supper Club”. Otherwise the area is very quiet, safe and relaxed.

From the gorgeous gardens, the monkeys, Sloths, beautiful walking distance beach, delish breakfast, modern and comfortable accommodation, yet jungle with a piece of paradise, to the loving, catering, welcoming and precious owners and staff. This was the best place to take our vacation ever. What a wonderful experience my husband and I had. The owner made us breakfast every morning and served us herself. A perfect balance as the other owner, her kind hubby kept and tended to the most beautiful, tropical and paradise peaceful gardens. Teddy and Dama spoiled us rotten . Two caretakers who we will keep in our hearts. So much to say that is wonderful about this place. Words are not enough. You need to experience this yourselves. We highly recommend.

From the moment we got there we were treated excellent. Teddy was so welcoming and helpful bring us anything we needed. Within the first 2 minutes of arriving we saw 3 monkeys right next to the hotel and later teddy pointed out sloths to us. The rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was healthy and filling. Super close to the beach! Definitely will be returning.

We’ve stayed at Jardín de los Monos twice now and will definitely stay again if we go back to Costa Rica. Peaceful, quiet (except for the occasional capuchin monkeys!), exceptional breakfast with Lettica’s homemade bread, great location and short walk to the best beach in CR, sloths right outside. Lettika, Gijs, Teddy and Dama made everything very comfortable.

Really beautiful accommodation, very comfortable large bed, huge bedroom and bathroom, new quiet A/C, very clean room, nice swimming pool, tranquil setting. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious! This really is a little gem of an accommodation where every detail has been thought about! Nice location near a quiet beach. Would definitely stay again!
